$72 million expansion allows Doctors Medical Center to

Permanente came to the Central Valley in 1985 and built a Medical Center in Modesto that was
opened in October 2006. It houses more than 2,800
employees, offering services which include:

Memorial Medical Center opened in 1970, is affiliated
with Sutter Health, and operates as a non-profit. A
$160 million expansion is underway slated for completion
in early 2007 to enhance their full continuum of care
including: 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and
outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear
medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging,
intensive care services, physical therapy and home
health.

specialty hospital is state-of-the-art. They provide
