Internship Program
The City of Modesto's internship program is designed to give students an inside look at the City of
Modesto's employment opportunities and enhance educational goals. City internships vary within each
City department. Students must be enrolled in high school or an accredited college or university working
towards a degree.
The City of Modesto offers paid and volunteer internships. Each position is unique to the department and pay is
predetermined. Paid internships are limited to a maximum of 1,000 hours in a fiscal and/or calendar year. The following

The City of Modesto does not accept or keep resumés on file. A City of Modesto
application for employment form must be completed during the recruitment filing period. City applications
with resumés for posted positions are kept on file for one year.

Interested students can submit a completed City of Modesto employment
application form and supplemental questionnaire
to the Human Resources Department located at:
