The mission of the Modesto Regional Fire Authority is to provide efficient and effective fire and life safety protection to the community through control of hostile fire, fire prevention services, emergency medical services, emergency preparedness and mitigation of hazardous materials incidents.

The main goal of the Modesto Regional Fire Authority is to safeguard the general economy and welfare of Modesto. This is accomplished through the availability of personnel and equipment 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The department currently staffs 14 fire stations which are strategically located throughout the City and County.
