Narcotics Enforcement Team
Modesto Narcotics Enforcement Team was formed in 2001 as a result of the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency’s
decision to target major drug dealers and manufacturers. Their goal is to impact and reduce street-level drug
activity. The officers in this unit received more than 1,200 hours of training from the Federal Drug Enforcement
Administration, California Department of Justice and the California Narcotics Officer’s Association. They also
do presentations to community groups on the latest drug trends. They provided more than 60 hours of training to
various audiences totaling in excess of 800 attendees. This team has already been credited with the undercover
purchase of "club drugs" at rave parties and with purchasing drugs from more than 80 street-level drug dealers.
If you would like more information on this team, or would like a presentation done for your group, please contact
