The City of Modesto is seeking applicants to fill three vacancies on the Citizens Housing & Community Development Committee and one vacancy on the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Committee. Upon recommendation by the Economic Development Committee, the selected applicants will be appointed by the City Council to a four-year term.
The Citizens Housing & Community Development Committee provides overall review of the City’s HUD funds. The committee makes funding recommendations to the Modesto City Council regarding the HUD Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Solutions Grant, and HOME Investment Partnership Grant programs. There are currently three vacancies on this committee for citizen at-large members.
The Housing Rehabilitation Loan Committee develops the administrative procedures and policies for housing rehabilitation loan funds as well as the down payment assistance program, eligibility and extent of governmental and private sector commitment of funds, and makes recommendations of policy issues to the Citizens Housing & Community Development Committee. There is currently one vacancy on this committee for a citizen from a Financial Institution.

Applicants must be registered to vote in the City of Modesto. Applicants for both Committees are required to complete a financial disclosure statement (Statement of Economic Interests – Form 700) under State of California law.
Applications will be accepted through November 2, and are maintained for at least one year.
