Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Recycling
The City of Modesto offers its businesses and residents a safe and convenient way to recycle their
cathode ray tubes (CRTs). CRTs are found in televisions, computer monitors and some camcorders.
Due to the high lead content in the glass, CRTs can no longer be put in landfills and must be recycled.
Residents may recycle two CRTs per calendar year and businesses can recycle four CRTs per calendar year.
